You may have to try Southern New York State. Mike

Trail Sport owners

Anyone own a TS29BHSS that has the 4 bunks in the rear? If so, can you tell me your likes or dislikes about your trailer? I am seriously looking to buy this trailer but don't want to jump too quick into it like my last one. Thank you Mike

Anode Rod

When should I replace the Anode Rod? There is 8 3/8 inches rod inside of the hot water heater. About 1 inch is completely gone closest to the threaded side. Does it need to be replaced now or wait until it is almost completely gone? It is about 2 1/2 years old. Thanks Mike

RE: Trailer Tires

Here's the latest. I have to send them a check for 50% of the value of each of the Duro tires then they will ship me 4 new tires and have to get them mounted myself. That is $225 i will have to send them for junk. No thanks. Mike

RE: Knoebels Grove PA

We are also going to Knoebel's this weekend . Florida 13 is our site. We have never stayed in or seen the inside of a cabin. Like the other posting, I would bring an electric heater. If you did not know, this weekend you can buy the all day pass wrist band. Have fun. Mike

RE: Trailer Tires

I got in touch with Duro Tires today.Their warranty for Dry Rot is for four years against defects. I had to email them pictures along with other info about when the trailer was purchased. They are going to refund 50% of the purchase price for a new set of tires. Better than nothing. I will put the money towards Goodyear or another well known name. Thanks for all of your info. Mike

Trailer Tires

Should I have expected more than 2 1/2 years out of my trailer tires? They are "Duro" brand tires with about 9,000 miles tops on them. I just went to check tire pressure today for a trip and I noticed that all four tires have dry rot. The tire pressure was ok. I park it in the shade so direct sunlight is not the problem. I left a message for the dealer's service department to call me back on Monday. They are the tires that came with the trailer new, a 2006 Keystone Springdale. Are "Duro" tires "Cheapo" tires? Thanks Mike

RE: PA to Fort Wilderness

I replied to dtzackus about making reservations and buyind park tickets through AAA. I called AAA to make reservations because they get back to me very fast with campsite reservation info. When I try to call Disney, I am on the phone forever. Let AAA make the calls. Also when you buy park tickets, tax is included is AAA's price. If you wait until you get to Disney, you have to pay Florida sales tax. You will save about 10 bucks per ticket or more through AAA. Mike

RE: PA to Fort Wilderness

We made the trip to Fort Wilderness twice in the last couple years. From Palmerton, PA. to Disney is about 1,100 miles. We stayed at Fayetteville, N.C. KOA both times. It is about the midway point, give or take 50 miles. It is a 1/4 mile off of I-95 and very clean. Good luck and have fun. Mike

RE: Fort Wilderness

We were there over New Years week this year. It was in the 60's the week before our trip, the 40's and 30's during our trip and back to the 60's and 70's the week after. But that is just my luck, none. Mike

RE: Fort Wilderness Question

The check in service is open 24/7. That is the best time to check in. No lines,no waiting. Have a safe trip. Mike

RE: Robbed and vandalized!

Glad that you're ok. Stopping in Jacksonville is like stopping in North Philly. I made that mistake once going to Disney. Be sure to have plenty of gas to keep on driving past Jacksonville. Mike

RE: Ft. Wilderness, Loop # ?

We were there over New Years as well. We had no complaints except the 30 degree weather. Sorry to hear about the traveler with the bad experience with reservations and their pet loop problem. We had the 500 loop and it worked out well. There is a bus stop at the entrance of the loop and the marina is a short 5 minute walk. You can call Fort Wilderness 5 days before you arrive to find out what loop you are in. Their number is 407-824-2727. Also at "The Trails End" restaurant, you can buy a plastic coffee mug for $12 and get free refills for your entire stay. Refills are not just for coffee. Get tea, soda or whatever you like. The next time we go I will try to get the 500 loop again. Have a great trip. Mike

RE: 2008 Springdale 267BHLGL

We have a 2006 267BHLGL. We have had good luck with it so far. There were a couple minor repairs made under warranty. The paper that was used for the Ceiling was peeling away from the wood that was used. I guess not enough glue was used at the manufacturer. The dealer replaced the ceiling panel. I wish there was some more storage cabinets inside. I have the " Outdoor and More " storage door. The space under the bottom bunk comes in handy. You don't have to take anything inside to store it,like all of the sewer and water connection supplies. I put up a curtain to block the view inside of the bottom bunk when the storage door is open. I put up curtains inside the trailer for the bunk beds to have privacy, plus to hide any luggage or food when the bunks are not being used made a ladder out of PVC to get to the top bunk. I have pictures I can send you if you're interested. You should be able negociate a good price in this market. When I bought mine, the sticker was $22,000. We got it for around $16,000. Good luck with whatever model you buy. Mike
